Nine questions people actually ask about a planning tool, each answered in one paragraph. They separate what stays in your browser from what a page request or measurement provider receives.
Does anything I plan get sent to you?
The places you add, the working hours you set and the hour you pick are computed in your browser from time-zone data that ships with the page. Editing a comparison does not call a planner API or create a hosted meeting record. Opening a shared link is different because its address arrives with the page request, as explained next.
What is in a link I share?
A share link carries the setup itself in the address. Overlaply does not write that setup to an application database, but opening the link sends the full URL, including its query string, to the hosting layer as part of the web request. Anyone with the link can read what it encodes, including a meeting name you typed, so treat it like a calendar invitation.
How is this site measured?
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. It runs on every visit, including one where you decline the next answer: it sets no cookies, builds no profile that follows you to another site, and never receives the query string — the part of the address that would carry your setup is dropped before a measurement leaves the page.
Are there tracking or advertising cookies?
There is no advertising here and nothing on this site is used to target ads. If you decline analytics storage, Clarity is not loaded; Google Analytics still runs under advanced Consent Mode and sends cookieless consent and measurement pings. Google documents that denied-storage tag traffic can include the full page URL, user agent, screen resolution and IP address in transit. Analytics cookies are not read or written, and Google says it does not store or log the IP address. If you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies and Clarity loads. Clarity masks typed values, but Microsoft documents that its visited URLs include query parameters. A setup in a shared URL can therefore reach Google under denied storage and Clarity after acceptance, as well as the hosting layer. Your choice stays on this device; clearing site data withdraws it and asks again.
What does an account store?
Your email address, the name you give, a password we only ever keep as a hash, and the sessions you are signed in with. That is the whole record. The planner needs no account and behaves identically without one, and nothing you plan is attached to an account.
Which emails do you send, and through whom?
Two, both about your account and neither about anything else: the link that confirms your address, and the link that resets your password. They are delivered by Resend, which handles the sending on our behalf and therefore sees the address the message goes to. There is no newsletter to unsubscribe from.
What happens to a message I send through the contact form?
It becomes an item in a private issue tracker on GitHub that only the maintainers can read, together with the language you were reading in. The email address is optional and is used for one thing: replying to you about that message.
What is kept in my browser?
Your browser keeps five items: the language the site last served, your last comparison, recently added places, your measurement choice and an offline page cache. Planner comparisons, recent places and the cache stay on the device. The language preference returns with page requests, and the measurement choice controls the provider signals described above. Clearing site data removes all five.
How do I see or delete what you hold?
If you have an account, its page shows the account settings you can manage there, but it does not list each signed-in session. Deleting the account there removes the full record straight away rather than marking it for later. Without an account there is no application account record to show or delete. For a request about hosting or measurement data, write through the contact page.
